Positions Available:
1.
Project Manager,
Education -
Required: A degree in Structural Engineering. Must have or be
pursuing Professional Engineer license in State of Virginia.
3.2
Experience - Required: A minimum of 5 years experience in
structural engineering, project management, and project engineering.
Additional Construction field experience and related work experience
that shows a desire for responsibility, a can-do attitude, and
superior work ethic is considered a plus.
Skill, Knowledge
and Abilities- Skill and knowledge to identify and prioritize
project items, and the diligence to seek opportunities to augment
Cates intranet detail libraries. Must be able to work well with
others and to resolve personnel problems and execute policies and
procedures through a project management team. Computer skills,
engineering and construction math skills, and the ability to handle
a wide variety of projects simultaneously are required. Must be able
to speak and write English.
2.
Project Engineer.
Education -
Required: A degree in Structural Engineering. Must pass the
Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and or be pursuing Professional
Engineer license in State of Virginia.

Experience - Required: A minimum of 0 years experience in
structural engineering. Additional Construction field experience and
related work experience that shows a desire for responsibility, a
can-do attitude, and superior work ethic is considered a plus.

and the diligence to seek opportunities to augment Cates intranet
detail libraries. Must be able to work well with others and to
resolve personnel problems and execute policies and procedures

3.
Draftsman
Education -
Required:
High School or Trade School diploma,
or current enrollment in a draftsman instructional program.
Preferred:
AA degree in drafting. Significant work experience
may substitute for academic accomplishment.
3.2
Experience -
A minimum of 2 years
experience as drafter in an engineering firm, surveying or
architects office is required.
3.3 Skills,
Knowledge and Abilities -
Extreme attention to
detail and the ability to communicate well orally and in writing is
required. Using analytical and observation skills, The Drafter must
be able to set a course or direction and apply Cates engineering’s
standards to produce a drawing or detail. Must be proficient in CAD.
Additional computer knowledge of software applications related to
drafting is preferred.
